The lake was opened for fishing in the fall of 1980 and since then has gained a reputation as the number one trophy bass lake in Texas. Lake Fork at full level covers 27,690 acres of thick vegetation and timber. An intensive fish-management program along with "catch & release" are some of the reasons Lake Fork masters the list of the top 50 big bass in the state of Texas.
Lake Fork is located approximately five miles west of Quitman, Texas and about a 1 1/2 hour drive of Dallas, Tyler and Longview, Texas.

Lake Fork Pro Guide Brian Duplechain
Born and raised in the swamps of south Louisiana, Brian moved to Texas and started fishing Lake Fork in 1986 becoming a full time guide. At an early age while growing up in the Achafalaya basin he learned about fish and fish habits.
While being a commercial fisherman he learned a lot about fish movements and how to read the water without the use of a map. Recently TPW did a documentary of the life of a fishing guide featuring Brian. |

Micheal Rogge is a full time licensed Professional Lake Fork guide and local resident of Lake Fork with 12 years experience at Lake Fork. He also guides on Lake Tawakoni.
Micheal offers both individual and corporate/group trips on Lake Fork. He furnishes all necessary tackle along with his state-of-the-art 2011 Ranger Z520. Many people know him simply as "Lake Fork's Big Bass Specialist"

Rob Jasper has been on the Diamond Sports Marine Pro-Staff since late 2006. He came over to Ranger Boats from the Stratos side. Rob’s Pro-Staff credentials also include Evinrude, Minn Kota, Lowrance, Strike King, Navionics, Ardent Reels, Custom Angle Rods, Hamby, Solar Bat, Lock-n-Haul and Viscous. He has fished the FLW family of tournaments from BLF, TTT to the Everstart & TBF series. Although he does not Guide full time, he has helped our local Lake Fork guides with corporate guide trips. Rob enjoys fishing his local club events and works hard working with his sponsors in the fishing industry. He does take pride in knowledge of the products he supports.
